Which Class is Mine?

  • C1: All beginner level students from white belt to senior yellow. Focus is on the fundamentals of traditional Taekwondo technique and philosophy.
  • C2: All intermediate and advanced level students from green to black belt. Focus is on the more complex applications of the traditional art and seeking out martial defense from every exercise and drill.
  • FC: Family Class. All C1 and C2 level students in an organized and fulfilling workout structure. Come with your loved ones!
  • CSF: Core, Strength, and Flexibility. Fifteen minutes of pre-class time is used to do some important exercises including plyometrics and resistance for physical advancement towards black belt mastery. Open to all members and non-members alike. Come with a friend or family member to try it out!
  • JJ: Family Tiger Shark Jujitsu. A mixed martial art blend of Japanese, Brazilian, and small circle jujitsu techniques. Participants must be at least 8 years old. This program is a regular part of your membership with no extra cost to participate.
  • BB: Black Belt Class. This legacy advanced adult class is full of Taekwondo skills, drills and beyond. You must have permission or a Neill's Taekwondo black belt and at least age 16 to participate.
  • TC: Tai Chi Class. Follows the system referred to as "Easy Tai-Chi" and is a Yang style derivative that incorporates the most beneficial moves in the art with high focus on breathing and posture.

What Should I Bring to Class?

  • Taekwondo Classes: students are to wear white uniform pants, a white uniform top, and the student's own rank belt. A Taekwondo T-shirt or plain white T-shirt may be substituted for the uniform top for Saturday classes only. If you forget your belt, get a white one.
  • Sparring: students are to bring all mandatory sparring equipment. This includes mouth piece, foam dipped rubber hands, head, and foot pads, and protective cups for males. Bring any optional gear (like shin pads) as applicable. Sparring gear minimum is mouth piece and (male) protective cup.
  • JuJitsu Classes: a jujitsu gi top and groin protection (males) is highly encouraged for these classes. T-shirts and Taekwondo dobok tops will likely be ripped. You must be at least 8 years old to attend these classes, unless otherwise notified.

Inclement Weather Policy

To ensure the safety of all our students, instructors and families, Neill's Taekwondo & Fitness will follow Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools' Inclement Weather Policy regarding the closing of classes.

If the Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools are closed, so are we.
