Which Class is Mine?

  • Family: All ages and ranks. Come with your loved ones!
  • Beginner: White - Yellow belts.
  • Intermediate: Sr. Yellow - Sr. Green belts.
  • Advanced: Blue - Red belts.
  • Black Belts: Sr. Red and above.

What Should I Bring to Class?

  • Taekwondo Classes: students are to wear white uniform pants, a white uniform top, and the student's own rank belt. A Taekwondo T-shirt or plain white T-shirt may be substituted for the uniform top when appropriate (i.e. not to testing). If you forget your belt, get a white one.
  • Weapons Classes: students are to bring 2 tanto wood knives and 2 escrima sticks at minimum.
  • Sparring Classes: students are to bring all mandatory sparring equipment. This includes mouth piece, foam dipped rubber hands, head, and foot pads, and protective cups for males. Bring any optional gear (like shin pads) as applicable. Sparring gear minimum is mouth piece and (male) protective cup.
  • Ju-Jitsu and MMA Classes: a dobok top and groin protection (males) is highly encouraged for these classes. T-shirts will be ripped. You must be junior red belt or above and at least 14 years old to attend these classes, unless otherwise notified.

Inclement Weather Policy

To ensure the safety of all our students, instructors and families, Neill's Taekwondo & Fitness will follow Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools' Inclement Weather Policy regarding the closing of classes.

If the Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools are closed, so are we.
